OSHO Meditation Retreat –
Spring Awakening – a meditation event with Milarepa
(May 25-27,2018)
We are delighted to welcome OSHO disciple & lover Milarepa for a Meditation Retreat in Toronto for the first time!
About Milarepa:
He took sannyas from Osho in 1976. He worked in the communes during every phase of Osho’s work: from what is known as Pune l, then all four years at Rajneeshpuram, Oregon, and finally the subsequent years known as Pune ll. He also accompanied Osho on his World Tour and was present in the Uruguay discourses, “Transmission of the Lamp” and “Beyond Psychology”. Although he did many types of work in the Commune, he is known for his music. He is an accomplished singer/songwriter with more than fifteen albums of original music to his name. During the ten years he lived in India his primary work in the Osho Commune International was coordinating the music department. Part of this entailed creating the music for Osho’s daily discourses and celebrations.
Since 1992 after Osho left-the-body, he tours the world annually sharing his passion for meditation, music, and celebration. About his music, Milarepa says: “The music I play reflects my understanding of meditation and love. The themes of my songs are universal and can be appreciated by all travelers on the path of self-realization. According to my understanding, we are on this beautiful planet to celebrate the great mystery of life with our songs, our dances, and our silences of the heart. As humanity moves forward into the twenty-first century, this realization could never be more relevant.

What to expect from this Retreat?
This event is for seasoned meditators and also those exploring meditation for the first time.
It is an opportunity to connect with one’s genuine inner resources, unlocking the potential for a joyous, abundant, creative — and loving! — life.
Specially-selected meditations will relax the mind and body.
Music and dancing will open the heart and keep things fun.
Everything lighting the way to inner silence and clarity.
Insights gained in the weekend can have a lasting and life-changing effect.
Personal problems and issues will dissolve and fall away like dry leaves as essential longings of the heart are realized.
Milarepa will be sharing a variety of powerful meditation techniques. His events always include lots of music, dance, and song. The presentation is heartful, fun, and will effortlessly open a space for love and meditative silence.
General Things to Consider:
- In consideration of people with sensitivities/allergies, please kindly refrain from using strong perfumes and other similar fragrances during the retreat
- Event will start at sharp 6:30 pm on Friday and sharp 9 am on Sat/Sun. Please plan to arrive 15 mins before the schedule so you can settle down
- Please bring your own yoga mats, yoga chairs, pillows and cushions
- Meditations involve sitting, dancing and lying down so it is suggested that you wear loose clothes. Most people prefer robes or similar clothing. Maroon or similar colored clothes during the morning and afternoon sessions and white clothes during the evening celebration are preferred but not mandatory
- Avoid unnecessary talking or using mobile or internet etc. so you can put your total energy into meditation
- Plz. switch off your mobiles during the entire day. You may use it during lunch breaks but avoid as much as possible
- And lastly carry your beautiful SMILE :)- with you. This simple gesture will make you open to receive!
